About Us
he Ezra Family consists of eight brothers and sisters - all born to Mr Ezra Bairu and Zewdi Habtemicheal. The cultural norm was for the men to take care of the family and run business ventures. Following the customs in 1976, the oldest son Tekie Ezra started a street vending business trading cigarettes and coffee beans until 1980. He brought his younger brothers, Ghebrengus Ezra, Yohannes Ezra and Huruy Ezra into the venture. Their proximity to the border enabled them to cross to Khartoum, Sudan through Tesenie, Akordet and Keren.
